I grew up in the D.C. metro area and moved to the Richmond area after I graduated from the College of William and Mary.  I spent a few years trying to figure out what I wanted to do with a liberal arts degree ("Would you like fries with that?") before I got my first paralegal job in 1990.  I later went back to school and earned a degree in legal assisting with a concentration in litigation.  I'm currently a litigation support analyst for an international law firm based in Richmond.

I retired from the U.S. Army Reserve on July 31, 2007, having spent most of my military career with the 80th Division (IT), and in December 2005, I returned from a year-long deployment to Baghdad, Iraq, with the 214th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom III.  We worked at the Combined Press Information Center in the International Zone.  My section published the Scimitar newspaper, This Week in Iraq newsletter, and the http://www.mnf-iraq.com web site.  I currently serve as public affairs officer for the 80th Division (IT).  Over 700 soldiers from the 80th served in Iraq from the summer of 2005 through 2006, but we welcomed them home this summer.  You can see the photos I took in Iraq on Fotki.

My favorite hobbies are hockey, soccer, and photography.  I am the team photographer for the new Richmond Renegades hockey team (Southern Professional Hockey League), was one of the two team photographers for the Richmond RiverDogs, and am one of the photographers for the Richmond Kickers (United Soccer Leagues D2).  Links to those photos for the current or immediate past seasons are to the left, too.  If you're looking for older photos, follow those links and you should be able to find prior seasons by navigating the Fotki site.

If you use an RSS reader/client/aggregator and want to be notified when I add new photos to Fotki, add this feed to your RSS client.

I also enjoy traveling.  For a few years, my husband and I have been working to visit all NHL arenas, a few new ones each season.  We're a bit over three-fourths done, having visited Montreal, New Jersey, and New York (Islanders) during the 2005-06 season; Edmonton, Calgary, and Atlanta during the 2006-07 season; and Denver and Columbus in 2007-08.  We definitely plan to visit Dallas and Phoenix this season, and maybe St. Louis and New York (Rangers).  I do some travel within the U.S. for my job, too, but am usually too busy working to play tourist.

I enjoy listening to music and watching movies, and I spend way too much time playing around on the Internet.  My current favorite sites are 43Things.com and the related sites, especially AllConsuming.net and ListsofBests.com, which allow me to track the books I read, music I listen to, movies I watch, and places I visit.  I'm on MySpace, Facebook and LinkedIn also.

Interested in buying any of my photos?  Visit my Fotki albums.  Select the photos you wish to purchase, noting the size.  (Note that some photos are not available for sale, so they will not have a link for ordering.)  Once you have added all of your desired images to the cart, click on the link at the top of each page for "Cart." You can change the sizes and quantities when you get to the shopping cart, if you like. You can order photos "anonymously" if you are not a Fotki member, but please make sure to provide your email address so I can contact you if there is an issue with your order. Complete the ordering process, then wait for your prints to arrive directly from Fotki.com.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
